Stretchmarks and loose skin...second time around?

I got really bad stretchmarks and loose skin from first baby. We are now working on second. I am wondering what my belly will look like into this pregnancy. The loose skin will pick up? The stretchmarks will get better? Worse? I didnt have stretchmarks during the last pregnancy. I got them only afterwards. Thanks so much.

Stretchmarks and loose skin...second time around?
Buddha Belly

Dedicated to my son

Wrote by Robin Kuppusamy (me)

My pregnancy bump was cute

I rubbed it like a bonafide Buddha

Cuddled and tickled you in your nest

My Buddha grew and grew

Until the size of a ripe watermelon

My skin stretched and pulled

It was classic tug of war

And you won

Shimmering silver lines

Sprinkled my lucky Buddha belly

Watching the Steelers

Win the Super Bowl

I watched Buddha jump and roll

As you flipped and kicked from your nest

I guess your a Steelers fan too!

You took my Buddha up up and away

Then you took him lower and lower

Beneath my belly button

Lays a prominent cantaloupe

Breast to button flat as a board

What in the world are you doing?

Reaching for the moon

Grabbing as many stars as can fit

In the palm of your tiny hand

Grabbing the tail of the cow

As he jumps over the moon

Catching Humpty Dumpty

As he falls to the ground

Holding Alice's hand as she drifts

In to Wonderland

Seven months post natal

My Buddha has shrunk

Your little hands tickle

And pat dear Buddha

You giggle and babble

And hysterically laugh

What is that wrinkly mess

Covered with sparkling stripes?
Reply:It gets worse.
Reply:They do get worse. Sorry
Reply:If you don't want the stretch marks to get worse use Palmer's Cocoa butter lotion for stretch marks, or any other lotion that has cocoa butter in it. Use it at least twice a day, especially after shower or bath. Keeps skin soft so it can stretch better without leaving marks.
Reply:I have been blessed with no stretch marks after 2 pregancies, but both of my sisters got them bad, and they got worse with later pregnancies. My trick, and I dont know if it's the trick or my skin, I used vegetable oil in a warm bath at night before going to bed, and would massage my belly with it mid-day, dont use baby oil as it actually dries skin, even my midwife recomended the vegie oil. Best of luck to you.
