Loose skin with weight loss?

I was a very large woman that has lost a lot of weight, what should I do to keep from getting a lot of loose skin?

Loose skin with weight loss?
Well if the skin was stretched too far and you lose the fat there could be loose skin no matter what (as the skin will lose its elasticity after a certain point and will not "bounce back"). This means that there isn't actually anything you can do to get your skin to "shrink" as it was pulled so far (assuming you've lost, say, over 150 lbs. on an average sized frame).

If you do have loose skin after reaching your goal weight, surgery will be able to remove it...and it might be worth it to you. At any rate, GOOD JOB on becoming healthier, more active, happier and lengthening your lifespan! Keep up the great work!!
Reply:Keep up your stretching. And be very patient. The best you can do is exercise a lot. I got into lifting weight's.You realy get hooked on it when your body start's changing so radicaly fast! Make sure you take a good vitamine.Always, always drink lots of water. It keeps your skin soft and it's earier to remold soft skin.
Reply:You have to tone the skin to get it tighten back up. You can't really target a certain area, you just have to do all over body toning. Cardio work outs are the best, these help you maintain/lose wait, and tone all your jiggly stuff. Cardio would be walking, stair climbing, or biking. These can all be moderate to difficult. And you don't need special equipment to do them.
Reply:Drink a lot of water, at least your normal 64 oz, but more if you can handle it. Tone at the gym with weights - actually build muscle if you can, because it can help fill the skin in. I've heard that it takes two years after the weight loss, two years of water and toning, to finally see where the skin will end up, and if you'll need to have surgery to get it tightened.

Good job on the weight loss!
