If you weigh 196 lbs and you loose weight over the course of 5 months down to 130-140 will there be loose skin

Will i be able to get a lean nice body without loose skin and maybe some abs? I've gone down from 240 to 196 and know im ready to get down to the 140's. So far i havent had loose skin.

If you weigh 196 lbs and you loose weight over the course of 5 months down to 130-140 will there be loose skin
if you are over 30 it is likely, but may not always happen just depends on your heritage
Reply:A weight lotss of 100 pounds may leave some loose skin, how much would mainly depend on your skin's elasticity.
Reply:It's very possible. The recommendation for weight loss is approximately 1 pound a week, more than that and you run the risk of sagging skin. Exercise will help keep things tight to a degree though.
Reply:Loosing weight that quickly is not very healthy. There is a possibility of some loose skin, but a comprimised immune system or the conditioning of ones body to more adequately store fat are much greater concerns. 1-2 lbs. a week or 10% over a 6 month period are the recomended guidlines for weightloss.
Reply:Yes it is possible, since you are a male why don't you you bulk up with muscles instead. But please remember that muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle burns fat faster. Just don't not lose weight too fast it is not health and you might just gain it all back. Do it healthy with exercise and I think you would be pleased. I weight 230 and dropped down to 135 and I did not have lose skin, but I worked out often. Good Luck!!

When losing a lot of weight how to avoid loose skin?

I am starting some type of a weight loss plan that I can live with- not sure just what yet. I do know that I am giving myself until February 2009 to hopefully see my end results- or VERY close to them. I have a lot of weight to lose- based on the BMI I need to lose around 155 pounds... so around 11-12 pounds a month on average. On major concern I have is I am wanting to avoid the extreme loose skin that I see a lot of people have. I am young (25) and hope that might help somehow. What can I do to avoid this? Also, any really great exercises I can do? I have like NO time, I work 2 jobs and live in a town that has no fitness centers- a town of about 800- closest city is almost an hour away, so I will not buy a membership. I will feel embarrassed walking around town, as people will watch- but I need to suck it up I guess. Anything I can do in the house that is awesome??? Any words of wisdom from someone who has done this?? Anything will help! Thank you!

When losing a lot of weight how to avoid loose skin?
All I know is if you lose it slowly like 2 pounds a week and do a little bit of strength training or light weights to tone up or tighten your skin you should have no problem with loose skin.
Reply:i heard eating soy increases the elasticity in your skin. you should eat some soy milk, soy bars, and tofu...maybe some lotion with soy extract in it. la weight loss has really good bars and the calories aren't that bad.

Is there a way to get insurance to pay for loose skin removal?

If I lost 150 lbs and am now left with some unsightly loose skin. Is there any loop whole to get insurance to cover loos skin removal?

Is there a way to get insurance to pay for loose skin removal?
Check into donating the skin to burn victims. The receiving charity may pay for the removal, since you will be donating the skin to their patients.
Reply:I am not aware of any insurance loophole for removal of loose skin. A surgery to remove loose skin would be under the heading of "cosmetic" surgery.

If you could somehow prove that having that loose skin is a tangible, omnipresent threat to your long-term health, then you may be able to finagle your insurance to pay for the surgery. Proceed with caution, however, as I'm not sure whether or not this constitutes insurance fraud.

How can I lose weight but not be left with loose skin?

Im about 4 - 5 stone over weight and I have made it my "new years resolution" to lose the weight and get fit.

Im scared I will be left with loose skin. Is there any way I can lose the weight with the skin?

How can I lose weight but not be left with loose skin?
Youth surely helps, as the skin is more elastic and able to re-shape itself.

Start exercising along with the diet plan.....this helps to keep the skin nice and tight.

Best to you.
Reply:no,you will have loose skin, but good toning exercises will help, make sure you don't lose the weight too quick either, that will help
Reply:losing that much weight, yeah there will likely be skin. the only way to repair that is with surgery, unfortunately. here is the thing though. the skin wont kill you. in the end, being overweight by 4-5 stone will kill you. i guess it becomes a lesser of two evils.
Reply:with plenty of toning exercises maybe start going to the gym start off slowly and warm up beforehand and build it up gradually also walking can help
Reply:im glad you asked this q, iv been thinking the same iv been told if you just do plenty ov exercise jogging sit ups drink loads of water lay of the beer and also eat very healthy eat less more often it works im guna try it its my new years resolution too, keep intouch email me and tell me how your getting and i will too, ps it get rid of the excess skin also i want that also, zoe x
Reply:if you lose the weight at a reasonable pace ie not too fast and also do exercise such as sit ups, cardio and some light weights then you should be ok.

Its usually extremely fast weight loss that leaves people with excess skin.

good luck by the way!
Reply:Well to answer your question it would take ime but here is a workout or thing that might help :

1)Stop eating and excercise intensely. (time consumed: about a week, maybe)

2) Dehydrate yourself. Do not drink any water, and you can lose up to 10 pounds (time consumed: a day or two)

3) Get lipo-suction (time consumed: idk, i guess a few hours)

4) Cut off a limb. (time consumed: instantaneous)

Can massive weight loss (100pounds,48kg) cause loose labia (and the skin where pubic hair grows) in females?

and if it does happen (loose skin of the pussi -sorry to say it but its only to explain, please execuse me - ) what are the other factors that cause it? is it like age? or the type of genes ? or what?

Can massive weight loss (100pounds,48kg) cause loose labia (and the skin where pubic hair grows) in females?
Yes, weight loss can cause it - it contains fat just like the rest of your body. Also age as well as child birth can change it.

There are surgical (cosmetic) procedures that can be done to correct it.
Reply:I think age has a great deal to do with the elasticity retention of the skin.
Reply:Yes. That area gains fat when we're obese and then becomes deflated, so to speak, after massive weight loss.

Age is also a factor especially for people who have been overweight most of their lives. They've never seen their "aging" body, all they know is skin stretched tight from fat.

Congrats on your weight loss! You've been a big favor for your health, even if there are a couple disappointments.

You might enjoy reading the Success Stories at Kimkins. Even though you've already lost weight, it's still motivating to hear how others did it. They're regular people, just like you.

I am lookig for information on products they may help shrink loose skin. I recently lost weight and need help

The loose skin is not over significant but it is in the areas of my stomache, thighs, and behind. I have lost 105 pounds two years ago and no amount of exercises have helped so far. I am not looking for a super fast solution but something that would at least give me results where I don't have skin hanging or pouches of it. It looks real ugly and nasty, I just would like firmer, tighter skin in these areas so I can at least enjoy some of the freedom of having lost the weight and keeping it off. I have tried over the counter lotions before and do not work either, My doctor doesn't know of any product out their that would help and I would like to avoid surgery at all costs. Please help me with any suggestions or names of products that someone may have tried and has had success with. Thank you for any assistance with this problem of mine.

There is NEW procedure called thermassage. It uses heated radio waves. It continues working after you get treatment to. However it WONT remove the EXCESS SKIN like a plastic surgery will but it will tighten skin. THE COSTS 2 to 4 thousand dollars.
Reply:What you need is liposculpture -which is done to remove excess skin after massive weight loss. You can get liposculpture in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.

As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.

my cousin got her breast reduction/liposculpture/buttoc... lift surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.hope this helps

How do I get rid of cellulite and loose skin?

I've recently lost about 50lbs and my weight is now considered normal yet I still have quite a bit of fat around my butt and hips including cellulite. Also, my skin is a little loose in some places. I drink plenty of water and I've recently started exercising. I was just wondering what types of exercises would improve my condition. Currently, I alternate between the treadmill, elliptical, and stair thingy. Does anyone else have this problem? Please help!

How do I get rid of cellulite and loose skin?
Go to GNC or any other nutrition store and ask for a supplement called X-Pel. It works.
Reply:My family and I have been using the best cleansing technology...:)the first time I did it, I lost 16 pounds in 9 days:)...check out this site....w w w .cleansewithcgnj .com

It will change your life:)

the main reason for obesity in this country is because of all the toxins we ingest on a day to day basis.....When you ingest a toxin, the liver takes a fat cell and surrounds the toxin to protect it from your vital organs.....That’s why traditional diets do not work....they don't get rid of the toxins....so your body refuses to shed the fat....So, when you do this cleanse and get all the toxins out of your system, the body recognizes this and begins to shed the fat....
Reply:Just basically keep doing what you are doing plus add in some strenght training and it should tighten up!
Reply:lipo suction!!!! thats what I'm going to do!!
Reply:Massage your cellulite w/baby oil for 5-10min. straight. And really get in there. That deep massage will move some of the cellulite around. Cellulite is just fat that gets stuck, we need to move it around.
Reply:keep healthy that is good..the person that said to add some strength training is right...that will add more muscle instead of fat..making your skin more tight
Reply:Sounds like you need to tone up what you've lost. Just concentrate on strength training exercises to tighten those loose areas up.

Can you get rid of stretch marks and loose skin after breast feeding?

I BREAST FED MY BOY UNTIL HE WAS 1 AND WHEN I FINISHED I MY BREAST WENT DOWN IN SIZE DRAMATICALLY. I NOW HAVE STRETCH MARKS AND LOOSE SKIN WHICH LOOKS TERRIBLE AND IT HAS BEEN 4 MONTHS SINCE I FINISHED. CAN I EXPECT THEM TO EVER TIGHTEN UP, OR IS THERE SOMTHING I CAN DO, OR USE

Can you get rid of stretch marks and loose skin after breast feeding?
I hate to be the bad news but I have found no miracle cream or drug. If you use mederma on the stretch marks they may lighten a little. I have tried everything shy of a tummy tuck/boob job. Keep your skin hydrated *drink lots of water* and lotion up with a good lotion regurarly.

Time has really helped my stretch marks... They were bright purple and now a light silver color. (almost 2 years old now). As far as the skin sag... That is nature honey. It sucks and depressing but it is the price for bearing children! don't get too down, most women who breast feed/bear children have the same probs. we are all in the same sagging boat!
Reply:Stretch marks are forever and the loose skin, even with exercise wont go away. I've heard plastic surgery is the best option to control the loose skin and get your breasts to appear as they were before. I've also read that Retinol can make the appearance of strech marks lighter, so you make want to speak to your dermatologist about that.
Reply:I have the same problem..just had baby #2, gained 50+ pounds with both of them. I use this awesome skin conditioning oil and rejuvenating cream and it has been working! Loose skin--only thing you can do is exercise and hope for the best, but the stretch marks you can control! Good luck!
Reply:sweetheart i know what you mean.. i went from a size A to a D and am at a B cup now.. and it looks horrible. you really cant do anythin about the loose skin... but i used maderma... its and ointnment you can puchase at any drug store. and its kind of expensive for a little bottle but its a miricle on strech marks.. it dosent make them go away but they basicly turn clear so you can hardly see them... but good luck and i wish you the best.....
Reply:Cocoa butter is used for both preventing stretch marks and treating them. If the weight gain is due to pregnancy, the cocoa butter should be rubbed daily on the affected area. Cocoa butter should be applied to the skin soon after a warm water bath, when the pores are open and the cocoa butter is easily absorbed. Shea butter may also be used instead of cocoa butter. Has anyone lost a lot of weight and not had really loose skin afterward?

I see ads and stories about people who have lost lots and lots of weight and some have lots of really loose skin afterward and others doubt. I'm told that you always have the loose skin and the ones who don't appear to have it, had some type of plastic surgery. Is this true?

Has anyone lost a lot of weight and not had really loose skin afterward?
I takes a few years for the skin to go back. If you have stretch marks, it doesn't go back all the way. I was lucky and did not have stretch marks.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.

1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.

2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).

3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!
Reply:no not me but boy did I have a lot of stretch marks
Reply:It all depends on what they ate and how long it took to lose the weight. People can lose weight relatively quickly on the high protein diet and not get flabby skin, as the protein helps tone the muscles and skin.
Reply:Usually..skin becomes loose after losing weight..and stretch marks are left..however..for the loose skin, it can be made muscular thus it wont be loose..as for the stretch mark,well..there are some cream available in drug store(How far are they reliable??)

How can a 16 yr old female prevent loose skin/flabbiness when losing 37to 40 pounds?

is the loose skin just when someone loses alot of weight or alot quickly?

How can a 16 yr old female prevent loose skin/flabbiness when losing 37to 40 pounds?
It should snap back since you are young and aren't losing that much weight. And yes, it tends to hang at first when you loose it quickly, but that will change in time. It helps if you do toning exercises also.
Reply:To avoid flabbiness, losing weight also requires one to exercise to maintain elascity. I pressume she lose weight without physical exercise?
Reply:Well...

Naturally, human skin is a very unique thing... Skin can stretch or shrink naturally with a humans diet...

If you are going to excersize to loose this weight, you skin should shrink along with you...

The only time that skin gets 'flabby' is if someone were to get plastic surgery or 'gasteric bypass type surgerys'.
Reply:thats pretty easy to do - just excercise regularily and make sure you take vitamins - especially Vitamin E which is for healthy skin. If the skin dosen't reduce naturally after a month or so, then you may want to consider medical treatment.
Reply:I lost 30 pounds over the past year, and I didn't really have any extra skin (I'm 15) so I wouldn't worry about it toooo much.

If you are indeed worried, then work out 3 times a week for a half an hour at a time, and gradually increase it (it's healthy for you anyway!)

Good luck!!
Reply:I'm 16, and over the last year, i've lost 50 lbs (yay me!) as long as you do it in a healthy fashion (diet %26amp; exercise, yadayadayada) your skin should shrink back on it own.
Reply:get Oil Olay night cream .
Reply:Don't lose it TOO fast, and exercise, exercise, exercise! Keep the muscles toned. At your age, the skin is very elastic. You should have no problems. ps...good for you for doing it!!!! Good luck!
Reply:if you exercise while losing you should have no problem. at yr age you still have alot of elasticity in yr skin. read tips on weight loss and exercise programs on this site

Why does a hamster has a lot of "loose skin" on their neck?

I have a drawf hamster, Sandy. She has a lot of "loose skin" on her neck. I picked up her by the scruff.

Why does a hamster has a lot of "loose skin" on their neck?
So they can curl up. If they didn't have the extra skin, they couldn't get into a little ball to sleep.
Reply:I think because just like cats, the parents can carry their children by grabbing them from the loose skin.
Reply:I think it's so they can squeeze into and out of tight spaces........

but i'm not sure.

It is an interesting question.......

I've noticed the same with dogs I"ve shared my life with and always thought it was to protect them from other animals in fights.
Reply:It could be their cheek pockets. Hamsters have huge pockets in their cheeks to transport material/food

What do you think of stretch marks and loose skin on the tummy?

I'm just curious of the general opinion of your views on women who have had child(ren) who are now left with stretchmarks and loose skin. Do you think it's gross? I am mostly concerned with men's views on this....

What do you think of stretch marks and loose skin on the tummy?
I think 'that's just life'.
Reply:Pretty normal, don't you think??? women have an unreasonable expectation that they'll still look 18 when their 38. Won't happen!!
Reply:It's never bothered me!
Reply:it is weird with me and stretch marks, because i've never had a kid and i've had them since i was an anorexic kid. i was like 98 lbs and 5'4 when i first got them. so i don't even pay attention to them anymore. but mederma gets rid of them.

Why does my snapping turtle (5 month)have loose skin and what should i feed him in winter?

he always has loose skin and i dont know what i could feed him. i put meat in the freezer but he doesnt eat much so the meat like expires, same with the frozen fish

Why does my snapping turtle (5 month)have loose skin and what should i feed him in winter?
Don't worry about it. I've let my snapper go dormant each winter for 32 years. He doesn't eat much until the weather warms up. Don't toss the meat or fish. If you are worried about freezer burn (your turtle won't care), freeze the food, put it in a small plastic bag with water, and then freeze it again. There might be an expiration date on the package but turtles can't read.
Reply:He is shedding skin its what turtles do. the process is called sloughing. He may not be eating because he is getting too cold. Just get some heat into the tank. Its like hibenating, he gets too cold. This is called torpor

What is the best way to get rid of loose skin ans streaghtmarks on dark skin?

I have lost alot of weight and have some areas with streaghtmarks and a little bit of loose skin not like what would be seen in gastric bypass, but very little.

What is the best way to get rid of loose skin ans streaghtmarks on dark skin?
Unfortuneately it is very hard to lose both without surgery, which is expensive and the best option. You can try meladera which is for scars but also helps with strech marks but it is expensive. For the excess skin the only thing that seems to work isto keep exercising while losing weight and especially doing weight training.

What is a good way to get rid of loose skin after giving birth?

I just had my baby a month ago and I've already lost all the pregnancy weight but I have all this loose belly skin. Is there a quick way or any exercise tecniques to help tighten up this skin??

What is a good way to get rid of loose skin after giving birth?
Crunches, Yoga, or Pilates... If that doesn't work....sometimes people end up having to have a tummy tuck to get rid of that skin.
Reply:surgery
Reply:get a tummy tuck
Reply:Crunches work very well. There's no quick way....but I think crunches will be about the fastest way.
Reply:quick? Surgery. Otherwise, lots of massage. Very important to massage for toning. OIls and lotions.
Reply:sit ups
Reply:Hi, Nothing, it will be gradually stretched automatically. it takes time and it depends on the structure of your body system, maybe in 5 months or more.
Reply:Congratulations to the new mother.

I believe the skin does tighten up (a little) but if you are like me, not as it was prior to your pregnancy ever again. I've gained weight since my last child but a few years back when I had a job involving a lot of physical exercise, I returned to my original weight. Then I noticed a lot of loose excess abdominal skin that looked and draped like crepe. I would have been horrified except I'd seen it before on my mother.

I always avoid wearing anything that displays that part of my anatomy.

I've had three children. Maybe others have had a different experience with their stretched skin. I don't know.
Reply:sorry, it is called abdomnoplasty-tummy tuck. The only thing you can firm up is the underlying muscle, and women have different elasticity in their skin. It will probably depend how much weight you gained and if you are one of the lucky ones who snap back.

Is it possible to get rid of loose skin?

i gained and lost a lot of weight and the skin on my tummy is real soft and kinda loose. is there a way to tighten it back up without surgery?

Is it possible to get rid of loose skin?
Say you gain 100 lbs sitting on your rump. Then one day you decide to crash diet and lose 100 lbs. Guess what. Whereas what you gained is all fat, what you lost is in the form of fat AND muscle. It is impossible to lose fat without losing muscle. So, say you lost 70 lbs of fat and 30 lbs of muscle . You are still carrying around 30 extra pounds of fat AND you have less muscle to support it. This is what is called loose skin, but it is actually fat.

The answer is to keep losing the weight with diet and cardio to keep losing but also do some weight lifting to build your muscle back.
Reply:No, sorry. Tummy tuck is the only way.
Reply:you can try, exercise and lots of fluids might help the skin rebound. It really depends on how old you are and how far the skin was stretched in the first place as to whether or not it can rebound.
Reply:you can try creams and lotions first but aside from that tummy tuck is the only way to do it.

How long to wait to do situps? Loose skin???

How long after a vaginal delivery do I need to wait before doing situps and small things to work out? Will the loose skin on my stomach ever go back to normal? How long does it take?

How long to wait to do situps? Loose skin???
It will shrink to some extent, but its an individual thing! Walk a lot and check with doctor about the sit ups. With my first it took about a year to be anywhere near normal again (but I hated exercise!!). With my second....hes 18 now and I still have Jelly Belly but now I call it Middle age spread!!! lol
Reply:The loose skin doesnt go away. Your stomach can become flat again, but the skin is stretch and really nothing but a tummy tuck is gonna help. I have had 3 kids and one on the way and my stomach goes back to being flat everytime, but that loose skin thing is just horrible. Ive never found anything that will make it better or neither have I read anything that says it will get better.
Reply:Always follow your doctors advice.

Loose skin will depend on alot on how elastic your skin is naturally, how stretched out it got and how many stretch marks you have. Stretch marks are like emergency skin and don't shrink.

Always follow your doctors advice, but doing sets of 10 mini-crunches a few times a day or laying on the floor and holding your feet 3" off the ground for 15-20 seconds a few times a day should be safe.

If you're looking for a "new mommy" weight loss support group we've got one at Kimkins. Those mommies are really motivated to get rid of baby weight!

Congrats on your little one!
Reply:6 weeks for any exercising.....after you postpartum visit
Reply:You will probably forever have loose skin. The fat pad on your stomach will get smaller as you lose weight. And talk to your OB about exercising but your body will let you know when you have done too much physical activity.
Reply:Sit-ups and crunches are potentially damaging to pregnant or post-partum abdominal muscles. In most women they separate down the middle during the pregnancy, and it takes time for them to move back together (up to a year for some women). Stressing these muscles while they are still separated can cause damage to them that will prevent them from ever moving back together. So, avoid ab exercises for a while. Better safe than sorry.

What kind of suregry gets rid of loose skin?

again I'm taking my pervious question further...What kind of surgery would get rid of my loose skin and whats the average price for the procedure?

What kind of suregry gets rid of loose skin?
Most plastic surgeons would perform a skin excision to remove the lose skin and tighten things up.

Cost varies based on how much skin you want removed.
Reply:Can you edit your question and let us know where this skin is at?
Reply:Consult a skin specialist please.
Reply:Plastic surgeons remove loose skin. You may have it done free if you donate your skin to a burn ward. :%26gt;) Give me some skin for that answer!
Reply:Removal of loose skin on your abdomen would be a tummy tuck. The cost would be between $5,000 and $10,000.

How soon is too soon to remove loose skin from weight loss?

I started out at 225 pounds. I am now 179 pounds and hope to get down to 250. I have very saggy and loose skin and I know I will require plastic surgery. At what weight should I be considering surgery? I would really like it off now.

How soon is too soon to remove loose skin from weight loss?
you must wait till you reach your goal weight or you will still have loose skin,

How soon is too soon to remove loose skin from weight loss?
Its not loose "skin". Under the skin, is still a considerable amount of fat....if it were infact all skin, it would be as thin as sheets like your eye lids. You still need to loose the fat, thats all.
Reply:You really need to be looking for a plastic surgeon now to help you to decide that but honestly my best guess would be wait a few more months until you get down to your goal weight so there is not a bunch more skin you could have had taken off but couldn't at the time and have to go through surgery again but can't have the same place done again for awhile and have to wait even longer. Plus its probally cheeper in the long run to do it all at once.
Reply:Frankly, so many people yo-yo that you should keep it off a least a year before an operation. It's kind of Freudian, isn't it, that you said you want to get to 250 instead of 150, did you notice that? Check out the National Weight Control Registry for information on keeping it off.

How do I get rid of saggy/loose skin under my eyes??

I had surgery to remove the fat under my eyes from my puffiness, but now the skin is loose!! What can I do? Restylane? Botox? Idk, please help!

How do I get rid of saggy/loose skin under my eyes??
im not sure but i think there is some kind of ltion that gets rid of that slowly
Reply:before considering something as costly as those options, I'd consider changes in my diet. not as in a way of weight loss, but making sure im taking in enough vitamins/anti oxidants to prevents further sagging
Reply:the person who performed the surgery on you should have tightened up the skin and cut out extras. apparently he didn't do a very good job.

i don't think there is much you can do to tighten loose skin besides more surgery, like an eye lift. eye creams and stuff as wonderful as they claim to be are only moisturizers and they don't do much besides moisturize and sometimes lighten your skin a little.
Reply:Surgery. Lower bleph. These creams and crap are useless. All you'll do is spend money and be unhappy with the results, unless of course you convince yourself to believe it's working.

Botox paralyzes muscle, and you don't really want to do that to your lower eyelid.

Restylane is a filler, and I'm pretty sure is not suggested for under eyes. Think about it, if you use a filler under your eyes on saggy skin it'll just puff it up and make it look worse. The loose skin has to be removed.

Sounds like that doctor removed the fat but never removed the excess skin, WHICH BY THE WAY go hand in hand when you do lower eyelid surgery. Go back there and tell him what the problem is. After getting your lower eyelids done there should be no saggy anything. All he did was remove the fat that was keeping the rest of the eyelid not saggy.
Reply:This may sound stupid, but it has worked for me...

Try Preparation H. It tightens up the skin.
Reply:Try an eye cream. They have something in them that firms up the skin. Clinique's eye cream is really nice and I recommend that one, but there could be something out there that's more suitable to your situation. Sorry, I can't recommend anything else!
Reply:Try Artistry's Eye Cream and/or their Vitamin C and Wild Yam Treatment. Both are amazing products and work great. All of their products are completely guarenteed to work or they will give you a full refund of your money. The Vitamin C and Wild Yam treatment is meant to be an at home alternative to injections and it is really awesome. You can't get Artistry products in stores but I will give you the direct link to both products so you can read about them and even buy one or both if they sound like they can help

How do I get rid of the loose skin left after losing the baby weight?

My twins are four months old, Ilost all of the baby weight by the time they were two weeks old, but I can't seem to lose the extra loose skin. I've tried everything that I can think of, has anyone else had this problem or know what to do about it? I really want to be back to normal before my husband gets home from his deployment in June.

How do I get rid of the loose skin left after losing the baby weight?
Your husband should understand you've just had TWINS! Yep, short of surgery, and heaps of crunches, sorry love, but it's all part of pregnancy and motherhood. Don't worry about it. If you're worried about what your hubby thinks, HE should try being pregga's with twins!
Reply:There's nothing you can do to get rid of that extra skin short of surgery. It may tighten up a little given time but extra skin doesn't just disappear no matter what you do. My daughters 19 months old and I still have that little fold.
Reply:Do lots of sit ups. Work the stomch area to pull the skin back in, and some say wearing a gurrdle helps.

Will losing 10 pounds leave me with loose skin?

tell me I won't have any loose skin on my body after I lose 10 pounds in the next 8-10 weeks.

Will losing 10 pounds leave me with loose skin?
No, you should not have loose skin if you lose 10 pounds in 8 to 10 weeks. You are taking the weight off slowly and this is the safest and best way to lose weight. Try to exercise 3 times a week just to keep yourself in shape. If you are in school and take a gym class then that should take care of the exercise.
Reply:YEA
Reply:no not only 10 pounds
Reply:Nope. Shouldn't be a problem.
Reply:no
Reply:if you lose FAT, like the actual fat thats stored, not muscle, then you should be ok.
Reply:no you wont
Reply:It doesn't look like you need to.
Reply:You shouldn't if you're young because your skin has more elasticity. Also, if you exercise, your skin will be tight.
Reply:not unless you only weigh 20 lbs to begin with and you're over 75 years old.....
Reply:No, you won't. Loose skin only occurs after really extreme weight loss or if you are old. Young people have greater elasticity to their skin, so it can spring back much easier. Use a firming moisturizer if necessary. (at Wal-mart or drug stores)
Reply:no...you won't...and eat veggies..it's good to repair the energy you've loose and all sort of thing like that to keep you healthy...whee whoo
Reply:You won't have any loose skin on your body after you lose 10 pounds in the next 8-10 weeks.

There. I told you. (and I truly believe you wont!)
Reply:No if its only 10 pounds %26amp; especially over a a course of 8-10 weeks
Reply:If you lose 10 pounds over that much time you should be losing it by working out...which would tone your body as well as get the weight off, so there wouldn't be loose skin, it would probably be TIGHTER!

How do you get rid of loose saggy skin?

I lost a lot of weight in highschool then got pregnant and then lost the weight again but that DANG loose skin is still around my tummy, legs and arms.Any one know how to get rid of it?! Other than surgery?! PLEASE HELP ME!

How do you get rid of loose saggy skin?
EXERCISE

DIET CONTROL

PLASTIC SURGERY

How long can it take for extra or loose skin to tighten up?

i lost some weight kindof quickly and that means that i have loose skin. it bugs me alot cuz it just hangs there and even though i weigh less, i still look as big. crunches arent helping me and neither are any other toning exercises. it has been a whille now and nothing is happening. HOW MANY WEEKS OR MONTHS DOES IT TAKE FOR IT TO TIGHTEN UP? also, how can i speed it up so the skin tightens and adjust faster?

How long can it take for extra or loose skin to tighten up?
If the exercises aren't doing it then your only option would be through surgery to have the excess removed. Whenever you lose weight too quickly the skin is a problem. Exercises work on the muscles but not the skin. Sorry if this doesn't help or give you a possible option. Good luck and congrats on the weight loss! :)
Reply:So many people mislead over this topic. There is only one solution to extra skin...that is to have it removed via cosmetic surgery.

I think that would be great for you. You already demonstrated you have the drive and capability to stay healthy. It will never go away through diet and exercise.
Reply:It probably won't get any better without plastic surgery - that kinda sucks, but that is the way it is. Losing weight really fast causes that. You gotta drink LOTS of water if you are losing weight to help your skin stay elastic.
Reply:It will snap back to some degree, but everyone's skin has different elasticity. Most likely you will still have saggy skin, no matter how much you diet or exercise. Then you will need surgery to have the excess removed.

Congrats on the weight loss!!
Reply:not all of it will tighten up ..surgery is the way to get rid of a lot of extra loose skin..if it did tighten up you would have to work out everyday for a few hours..it would probably take a year or more..

How does someone get rid of stretch marks and loose skin after loosing large amounts of weight?

I recently lost 25 lbs and it seems like my skin is real loose and i have stretch marks other than surgery is there any other way to tighten up the skin and get rid of stretch marks?

How does someone get rid of stretch marks and loose skin after loosing large amounts of weight?
no there unfortunately is no other way.
Reply:Yes. There is a procedure called Thermage, It's non invasive and FDA approved. It is a little costly, but well worth it to tighten skin!!!!! You should look into it. I work for a doctor that performs this procedure everyday. If you want some more info on it, hit me back!!! :)
Reply:Exercise and a good cream Check a Avon They have a real good cream for losse skin that will tighten, but there no was the stretch will leave your skin completely, there are products that make it disappear but it will still be under the surface......Try Avon Refine......

How to tell if you have belly fat or loose skin after having a baby?

My friend had her baby a week after I had my son, however her stomach sort of hangs she is 5'2 and weighed 140lbs before becoming pregnant, and now weighs 180lbs she developed toximia during her pregnancy. However, her stomach sort of hangs slightly in the front, but it is a little pudgy as well. I always thought loose sking was flat and very loose feeling, hers (not that i felt it, but from what she has told me) is more of a gooshy fat feeling, but it still has a slight hanging appearance. Anyhow what we wanted to know, will this problem go away if she is able to lose weight and get back to her pre-baby weight? Or is it loose skin? thank you all for your feedback!

How to tell if you have belly fat or loose skin after having a baby?
i think after having a baby you will always have that bit of jiggle on your belly, i have had four kids i was 135 before my first and after i had him i got pregnant when he was 10 months i was two months pregnant and 112lbs, when i got pregnant for my third i was 95 and now my fourth is 16 months and i am only 120lbs and im 5 7, i still have that bit of jiggle on my belly i dont think its going anywhere maybe if you really work out i guess but i dont work out at all im just on my feet all day taking care of kids, house husband
Reply:I'm not really sure how you can tell, but if she looses weight and it's still there, I guess it's loose skin. I have a pudge, that I didn't have before my last pregnancy, but I had a C section and it'll never go away. I just gave up on loosing it, plus I'm pregnant again.

Reply:Drink lots of water and use a really good moisturizer. You're young so it should bounce back. If it doesn't, you can always have the excess skin removed.
Reply:Actually, toning exercises should help.

You're still young. You weren't in bad shape weight-wise, from what I read, and your skin should still have some pretty good elasticity left.

Find some toning exercises, and it should help tighten everything up.
Reply:Typically, when people lose a lot of weight it is common to have some loose skin. Luckily, our skin is very elastic and it can shrink and stretch accordingly. With that said, you can just give it time and it should tighten up.

On the other hand, working out with weights and doing other muscle building exercises can help "fill" your body out, essentially replacing that lost fat with sweet muscle!
Reply:i agree with several of the people here - a loss of fifteen pounds isn't too hard to bounce back from if you are doing some overall toning and conditioning excersizes. it's when someone loses 50+ pounds that extra skin probably needs to be surgically removed.

get on the floor and start working your upper body, arms, and shoulders. while you're there how about some abs and legs? all of a sudden you'll start looking leaner and that "extra skin" will have been long forgotten.
Reply:wow, your skin is loose after losing 15 lbs.? Try figuring out how to get rid of loose skin after losing 90 lbs.....It's a pain in the ***, let me tell you...lol

I do a lot of crunches and squats and stuff, those really help. Running and jogging also helps a lot.

I'm planning on losing weight. What do I do about loose skin?

I've watched the Biggest Loser for about three years. I'm planning on losing about 115 pounds in 2007, and I'm wondering what I can do to minimize loose skin.

Some of the contestants on the show lost WAY more than that, and they seem to have no loose skin!

I've hired a trainer who promises to exhaust me, but I keep hearing over and over again that I'll have to have plastic surgery for the skin. That's so expensive, not to mention painful.

Does anybody know a way to minimize the skin probelm after weight loss?

I'm planning on losing weight. What do I do about loose skin?
It depends on how young you are, but you can do a lot with massage. Explain the situation to a good professional masseuse, and get a massage at least once a week. Your skin will never get as taut as if you have never been heavy, but you will probably decide it's not worth it to have surgery to take up the additional slack. Remember that being a little soft to the touch is not a bad thing.
Reply:You can only minimize it with excessive. Hopefully you are still young and the elasticity in your skin is good. Other than that with such a big weight loss you can expect to have alot of loose skin. Be sure to excessive during your weight loss. Also as a last resort you might have to have surgery to remove you excess skin depending on how severe your situation is. Good luck.
Reply:Weight training in addition to your diet program should do the trick.
Reply:Weight loss surgery-like gastric bypass /lap band surgery / stomach stapling and gastrectomy have become very common and very safe now. My cousin got her Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery in India. She has lost more than 65 lbs in 5 months and is very happy with the results. The price for obesity surgery is very less in India. My cousin just paid 25% of the cost she was quoted in America. She got her surgery from a company called Forerunners Healthcare.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as bariatric surgery and weight loss surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your Obesity surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
Reply:I actually just blogged about this very subject last week! How *do* they not get loose skin? I think it's because they are exercising heavily. The people I know who have lost a lot of weight fairly rapidly have done it through weight loss surgery and not through exercise and they are plagued by skin flaps.

I've heard that drinking A LOT of water helps, as it keeps your skin supple. A friend of a friend lost weight through intense exercise and supposedly had no loose skin (I never met him; can't verify this) and he drank LOTS of water.

Your age is a factor too, and how long you've been fat. Older people, and those who've been very overweight for a very long time haven't got as much elasticity in their skin.

I know that not a lot can be done about loose arm skin except surgery. I've already got it so it's unlikely that losing weight will shrink my arms that much.

Why don't you try posting on the message board for the show? Maybe one of the contestants or trainers will have some tips for you.

Good luck on your goal!

Can I get a bikini wax with loose skin (weight loss)?

I've recently lost some weight, and I'm hoping that everything will tighten up with exercise and time, but I do have some loose skin on my stomach and upper thighs, and I'm wondering if it's possible to wax in that situation. I know the skin has to be held firmly. What do you think?

Can I get a bikini wax with loose skin (weight loss)?
OUCH!! Loose or tight skin those strips being ripped hurt!

I think it would still be ok. Even if the skin is tight, they still tug on it to make it as flat as possible. If you wax b/c fear of razor burn, I have the perfect solution! Its called bikini zone, on the same aisle as shaving cream, and its awesome. Not a bit of razor burn. To be on the safe side, always use a new razor, specifically for that area ONLY. Shaving your legs with it will dull it fast=resulting in razor burn!

Good Luck :)

I'm ashamed of my horrible body (loose skin from big weight loss) and I can't enjoy sex. What can I do?

I was a size 22 for a few years in my early 20's and am now a decent size 12 and have been for over 7 years. I am comfortable with my size, except when I am without clothing. While my fiancé and I have had sex and I thoroughly enjoy it, I am hesitant to try all the fun positions he wants because I am ridiculously self conscientious of myself. I have extremely bad cellulite, rolls of loose skin (my skin never got tight after weight loss - even though I exercise regularly), and a VERY nasty scar left over from a poorly done tummy tuck that extends to my rear giving me pointed cheeks!!! My bosom sags like an 80 year olds and even my back is embarrassing. My naked body is a humiliating example of the female form and I try my best not to let it bother me, but it does. I desperately want to please my fiancé once we are married and having sex regularly - but I hate having the lights on and allowing him to see me. How can I slowly get more comfortable? What can a person wear during sex

I'm ashamed of my horrible body (loose skin from big weight loss) and I can't enjoy sex. What can I do?
You can wear a nightie that covers up all the "trouble areas" that you don't want seen, however I suggest you get some therapy because you should not be that down on yourself! A low self image is worse than any stretched skin you might have and it will start to effect your marriage if you don't find a way to get past it. Remember that your fiance loves you just the way you are, and if you have done everything you can to try and firm up but physically cannot, then I would say you've done all you can shy of plastic surgery (which I DO NOT recommed)! Be kind to yourself and proud that you lost all that weight! It's not an easy thing to do.
Reply:About the only option you have is to see a cosmetic surgeon to have the excess skin remove. And that's incredibly expensive. Talk to you regular doctor and see what options you may have. Good luck hun...
Reply:Just try those other positions. Your fiance loves you for you and if that extra skin bothered him, he wouldn't be with you. He loves you not your body. Go for it.
Reply:This is a common reaction among women who do not have a perfect body figure. The only thing that would make you comfortable will be the thought that your fiance loves you- NO MATTER WHAT; meaning, he did not love you for your body alone but he loves you for the person that you are...for ALL that you are, not your physical looks. Think that the body is only a shell that "houses" the real person inside you. Have confidence too, that a man who loves you, will not notice the bulges in your body but instead will "see' how beautiful you are inside. Believe this and you will be doing fine. Good luck.
Reply:so you want to shock him one day after you are married. That would be smart don't you think you should let it all be seen and know and if he sticks around and still wants to marry you that maybe perhaps he actually loves you. The worse thing you can do is deny him fun and pleasure because of your hangup so get it exposed and if he doesn't run away then let him enjoy you and do all the sex position and other stuff you want other wise he will be gone and not to many other men probably want to look at your body so don't lose the one man you got.
Reply:Been there and I understand how you feel, you accomplished a wonderful goal in losing weight and bettering your health but the cruel joke is that sometimes you feel worse about your body than you did before the weight loss because of the loose skin. It is possible to have a full body lift, but evidently you have already had a bad experience with surgery. I think you are lucky that you have a guy who loves you, and you should just try to accept the fact that he cares for you for more reasons than just your body. You might try some silky nighties, a bustier with a corset front, or a stretchy camisole that has a little control, or just french cut bras with tap pants. Light a few small candles and place them across the room, so they create shadows, or if you have blinds tilt them so that light from outside is filtered through. The low light and sexy lingerie may make you feel more confident. When things get going, blow out the candles.
Reply:Hi it sounds like your fiancee dosent care about your physical appperance , yea sure its graet to have the six pack and the greaat **** but we are not all the same and very few of us are built like that , as we get older we all start to sag all over the place trust me i had a six pack and good body until i injured my spine now i resemble something like homer simpson but my wife still loves me and we have incredible sex , it sounds to me like he loves you very much and not your loose skin , go for the fun positions youll enjoy it
Reply:ok so I was 98 pounds before I had kids with my first child on the nineth month I was 187 pouds I almost doubled my own weight do to a condition I had. I am not 98 pounds anymore but a decent size. I have stretch marks everywhere, I have hanging skin too. I have been married for 12 years and he married me after my first child ( this is my second marriage). He could care less about all the imperfections. Here is why, he thinks he has flaws, but I dont see them. I see the same guy I married 12 years ago. Nothing more. The important things are when you are in love, those things do not matter at all.
Reply:Let me tell you something - did you know that Marilyn Monroe was a very, very insecure person? She was gorgeous and felt inadequate all of the time. She'd get so nervous on set that she'd shake and vomit and would have to leave. She got fired from her last movie because of this. And this is Marilyn Monroe we're talking about here!

I think everyone has insecurities about one thing or another. No one is perfect and those that seem perfect, well they are insecure, too.

Funny story, but I used to be a model and was very insecure about myself. Thinking back I did the dumbest things due to my insecurities. At 24 I got really sick, I needed open heart surgery. I have this long, large scar down the middle of my chest, plus chest tube scars on my ribs and under my arm. Really ugly. For a while I was so self conscious about it. I wore turtlenecks all the time. When I first started dating my now husband I was so shy about my body, I didn't want him seeing all of my scars. I thought he'd see them and run off, disgusted. Turns out they don't bother him at all. At least that's what he tells me. I've gotten to the point where I'm quite comfy with my body now, scars and all much moreso than when I was younger, thinner and scarless. It's all about how you feel on the inside. It really has nothing to do with the exterior. You can find a way to be comfortable with your outer shell. Congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome!
Reply:there is nothing wrong in having sex without lights and in some sexy night gown. i have perfect body but even i don't like to have sex with lights on - it doesn't let me to concentrate. also my husband likes me to wear all kind of stuff even thou i look very nice while naked. so the point is - u don't need to be all naked and with lights on for him to enjoy sex with u. candle lights and sexy outfits which cover your imperfections are very good for everyone. also i would like to cngratulate u about your weight loss and u should feel proud that u did it. there re not so many people who would lose weight and keep it lost. also i would want to tell u not to stop exercising. when i had my 3 children one after one i put on lots of weight and my stomach was enormously big especially after the 3 one but doing exercises every day regularly shrank my stomach and i got six pack which i never had even while i was a teenager. so just keep doing those exercises. never give up
Reply:Work on your self esteem. Men don't look at you the way you view yourself.
Reply:Manual exfoliation / abrasion every other day and a strong body lotion with Copper Peptides by a brand such as Dr. Pickart's SkinBio (www.skinbiology.com) or Neova (www.procyte.com) will work wonders in slowly but surely minimizing or even removing excess skin! You will also help firm up those areas (which, quite honestly, is the only thing that can change how you feel) if you stay well hydrated, regularly consume avocados, go vegan, cease smoking %26amp; drinking and never take long/hot baths. The body has marvelous healing properties and skin does snap back... All the best :)

Being a teen and having loose skin?

do u guys know of anyone who after losing 45 lbs or weight in general were left with loose skin but it went away with time??

is it possible?? i need hope!! :(

Being a teen and having loose skin?
Because u r a teen ..... your very lucky....it will go away with time.....for us older folks that's not true.....now just wait.....time and some exercise will keep it off and help your skin tighten up.......now keep it off......smile
Reply:It will not go away in time even if you are a kid.
Reply:If you are young, It is likely that your skin will recover. yung skin is generally very resilient, and if it was only 45 pounds, I would say that it should be tighter in a matter of weeks.
Reply:congratulation on losing all the weight. honestly no you Will not lose the loose skin. Skin in and of itself cannot contract or bounce back after something that dramatic. its comparable to a woman having a baby and unless you have a kick *** personal trainer forget it. if you re really self conscious, get a tummy tuck later on in life. but let me tell you, dropping the weight is way better in so many ways than a cute lil pooch.
Reply:Yes but you need to exercise to work the skin back onto shape also. Massages and sauna or steam-baths help too. I lost 75 lbs. and my skin was loose too, but it's better now after using the sauna and using small weights to sculpt me body back into shape. I used the weights more for repetitive motion rather than for bulking up. Keep up the good work and you'll be alright!!!

How do I tighten up loose skin?

I had a baby four months ago and have been losing wieght since. Now I have alot of loose skin all over my stomach (especially pelvic area) and inner thighs. Does anyone know how I can start tightening it up?

How do I tighten up loose skin?
There are yoga exercises to firm and tighten muscles.
Reply:Staples?
Reply:gain wait
Reply:yes, eat in good quantity broccoli boiled and other veg salads.
Reply:I have the same problem, I had 4 children in 5 years, my last 4 months ago, and I gained more weight with my last child then the ones before so I have loose skin also. I will be checking on answers that you get! I am normally about 118 pounds (and I am now-and I am 5'8" tall) but went up to 160 with pregnancy, so I lose the weight fast but my skin is all stretched out too. I don't think there is much to be done besides surgery. I think a tummy tuck is the only answer-I can like stretch my skin back up and have a normal belly button again-in the right place! The muscles are not the problem, it is just extra skin so exercises will not help-and I have no fat on my abdomen.
Reply:Just try to do toning exercises and weight lifting (small weights are good for the arms) Sometimes though after having a baby there is no way to "fix" loose skin. Once skin loses its elasticity, it won't get tight anymore. So you might consider surgery. My gf is losing weight, she had my two daughters within 2 years, my youngest is 1 now. Shs has been losing weight and I promised I would pay for her tummy tuck when she has reached her goal. Good luck and best wishes
Reply:If it's just the skin there is no way you can tighten that up without a tummy tuck. My personal trainer at the gym had the same problem. She had to have a tuck. If that's not an option maybe you could gain a little of the weight back to fill the skin back in. No amount of weights or crunches will help and it's more common than you think with women who have had babies.

My pet turtle has some loose skin?

My pet turtle has some loose skin around his legs and neck. It floats in the water when he swims. Is this a sign of shedding or molting? He has been eating a lot lately.

My pet turtle has some loose skin?
This is normal. Turtles like snakes shed old skin to make room for the new skin. Your turtle is growing which is very good. Try getting a Cuttle Fish Bone (The white thing birds peck on). You can buy them loose at a PetSmart or Petco for about a dollar. Your turtle can eat this and will get lots of calcium for it's shell (which also sheds by the way). Just make sure not to get the kind with the metal on it or at least take it off before giving to the turtle. Let it float in the water and the turtle will do the rest.
Reply:chances are he's just getting ready for hibernation.
Reply:talk to your vet.he mieght be dieing
Reply:This is totally normal if it happens only a couple of times every few months. Make sure the water is not to hot and it is ALWAY clean. sometimes turtle may show some problems/sickness and that may not be evident until they are REALLY sick. Shedding means that he is growing :) Make sure also that you are giving your turtle a variety of foods to help with their skin. Pelletts, cooked chicken, lettce, cantelpope are some good choices.

Good Luck
Reply:I AM NOT REALLY SURE ,BUT TRY TO GIVE VITAMINS ,THEY ARE VERY IMPORTANT !

GIVE IT SNALES ,THEY ARE GOOD IN PROTEIN !

IF YOU LOVE YOUR TURTLE PLEASE...

GO TO A VET !!

IT NEEDS YOU ...

IT DOES NOT WANNA DIED ON YOUR HANDS !!

GOOD LUCK !!
Reply:The loose skin is called fluffing. It is a sign of growth. Be careful how much you are feeding your turtle. A turtle can grow to big for it's shell.

How do I tighten up loose skin on my upper body?

I gained a few pounds a few years ago and it's been difficult to lose the extra pounds in my gut and upper adominals. Now that I'm getting more fit, I'm noticing loose skin in my abs area and my lower stomach. How do I tighten this up again. I was previously a high level athlete but I had one bad year of diet while working in LA and havent' been able to lose the fat.

How do I tighten up loose skin on my upper body?
build muscles....

by building muscles your skin will be tighter and more intact so it wont sag or whatever after you lose lots of fat...

well classic sit-ups comes in handy to target your abs....

push ups for your chest and triceps...

there are lots of effective exercise that you wont be needing an expensive machine or a membership on a high-class gym...

oh yeah surgery is one thing... they are expensive though... well it is still your call...
Reply:surgery

What can I do for loose skin and wrinkles under eye, and face?

What can I do for loose skin and wrinkles under eye, and face?
There are a few things you can do... Try to eat healthy and use lots of sunscreen, and GOOD RICH LOTION!... Exfoliate your face atleast once a week with a fine exfoliate... (baking soda works well, mixed with a lotion) don't SCRUB... just rub fingers across skin... After this, use a lotion with a SPF of atleat 15..

Also, rubbing vasaline around eyes before you go to bed.

Hope this helps.. =)
Reply:your question is not quite clear, however if you are looking for a makeup tips then -

Close set eyes: Apply eye shadow to the upper eyelids blending the shadow upwards and outwards towards the outer corner of the eye continue to blend until the shadow is considerably fainter in the area of the nose and the eye and some what darker at the outer corner. Then, with the help of brow pencil draw a line away from the inner corner of the eye and extend the line beyond the outer corner. Blend the line so that like the shadow it is faint at the inner corners and darker at the outer corners. Increase the distance between the eyebrows by tweezing, to make them appear wider apart.

Deep-set eyes: Use a lighter foundation color immediately above the socket area of the upper eyelids and blend with the foundation color. Do not use eye shadow as the sunken effect will increase instead of decreasing.

Drooping: They can be given a lift by tilting the eyeline upwards and outwards before it reaches the outer corner of the upper lip. The shadow should be winged upwards avoiding the area at the outer corner of the eyes.

Round eyes: Make them appear larger by extending eye shadow beyond the outer corner of the eyes.

Bulging eyes: Use a dark shadow and blend it carefully over the prominent part of the upper lids carrying it lightly to the line of the brows.

Small eyes: They can look larger by using two kinds of

Shadow. Use the brown shadow on the lip creases after applying beige to the lids.

Sagging under eye tissues: Rub a very thin coating of

Unbeaten egg white into the area with your fingertips. Allow it to dry and then apply makeup foundation very carefully over it. The lined areas directly under the eyes are temporarily smoothed by the drying effects of the egg white. But be sure to use oil afterwards on this area, after you have removed the egg white because egg white has a drying effect on the skin. I should warn you this coat will only last for 3 hours.

Reply:Be gentle with your skin and it will go a long way in keeping it smooth and supple. Gently massage the face with glycerin-honey mixture. Dip a cotton pad in unbeaten egg white, and smooth it across wrinkles. Leave it on for an hour and remove it with a cotton dipped in ice-cold water. Speed of Weight Loss Question? Loose skin?

When you see people that have lost alot of weight, somtimes they are left with excess flabby, loose skin. I was wondering , do you tink the rate in which they droped the weight had anything to do with it? If someone lost 100 pounds in 4 years @ 25 pounds a year, versus someone that lost 100 pounds in one year?

thank you

Speed of Weight Loss Question? Loose skin?
I think it does have a lot to do with the rate it is lost. the skin doesn't have time to "shrink" up if weight is lost quickly. you see this a lot with people that have gastric bypass and loose weight real fast.
Reply:It also depends on age. The older you are the less elastic you skin will be.
Reply:yes too fast is no good, also diet and genetics has something to do with it... just like some women get stretch marks and some dont

What's the difference between loose skin and fat?

Like, how do you tell the difference? I've lost a lot of weight, and am still pretty heavy, but can't tell the difference between fat or loose skin?

What's the difference between loose skin and fat?
well loose skin is just hanging out and fat is not loose and is very heavy and loose skin not
Reply:cellulite. I'm not sure about the spelling, but fat has it. Loose skin will have wrinkles.

How to get rid of loose skin?

Please help, im have lost alot of weight (about 100kg in a year)

And 50kg in the last 4 months. Im now getting heaps of loose skin, but can not afford a tummy tuck. Does anyone know can it be perfomed free on the public system, if so how. or any other ways"

How to get rid of loose skin?
You don't have to have a lot of money to get your tummy tucked. At least not when you choose to go overseas for your treatment.

A lot of people choose to go abroad these days since it's much cheaper there for good quality plastic surgery there. In India, Singapore, Thailand, Mexico and some Central and South American countries like Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil and Argentina you can get this treatment for about 80% less than the prevailing rates in the US.

However, you need to be careful about the quality of hospitals there. You must make sure that they are JCI/JCAHO/ISO accredited. This means that the hospital provides services that meet or exceed US standards and the facilities are world-class.

A friend of mine went through a medical tourism company called Healthbase (http://www.healthbase.com) which is a leading provider of global medical choices. Even after paying for her travel and other expenses she ended up saving lots. Healthbase works only with quality hospitals abroad. You can research about the various medical, get a free quote, communicate with the surgeons overseas, plan and book your travel all at their website. You can even apply for a medical loan through their website.

Hope this helps!!

Can you end up having loose skin if you're only aiming to lose 15 pounds?

Will exercising and running and weights help prevent loose skin?

Can you end up having loose skin if you're only aiming to lose 15 pounds?
NOt likely. People who have loose skin problems normally are 200 - 300 lbs overweight.
Reply:Good grief. You won't have loose skin from losing 15 pounds.

Loose skin comes from being at least 100 or more pounds overweight. That is serious skin stretching. And they are obese for many years. Stretching the skin that much and for that long....that's what causes the loose skin when they lose weight.
Reply:Not likely, I have dropped as much as 40 lbs w/o having lose skin. But part of it is genetics (like how some women never get stretch marks during pregnancy and other get them after 2 months).
Reply:Exercise will help with saggy muscles and will tone the skin. But remember, when you exercise with weights, you will gain muscle and muscle weighs more than fat, just keep that in mind when you are dieting.
Reply:I agree. People who lose a large amount of weight versus 15 pounds have that problem due to the elasticity of their skin. And depending on your age it could be hard to tone up even if you're only losing 40 pounds.

But yes, a good diet, excercise and staying healthy will help maintain your weight and stay tone.
Reply:My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website

How do you get rid of loose skin after weight loss?

Im 23 and my weight has gone up and down all my life, so ive some stretch marks. Im starting to loose weight now and i put alot of weight on my stomach. Im worried i'll get loose skin! Can anyone help?

How do you get rid of loose skin after weight loss?
Exercise will help a little. Also omega 3s will help keep your skin healthy. But, if it is a lot of skin, surgery is the only answer. Also...don't waste your money on expensive creams, they do not do anything. Just get plain shea butter cream and actively put that on your skin. Keep your skin as healthy as you can.
Reply:If you have loose skin you have to go to surgery to get it off.
Reply:Stretch marks are there to stay. You'll need to see a surgeon to get rid of the loose skin. Perhaps a plastic surgeon.
Reply:You would have to get cosmetic surgery to correct that... there is no other way.
Reply:My husband went from 300 pounds to 200 so he had excess skin. He exercised - however the skin did not tighten. He had to have it surgically removed. - Sorry there is no easy answer.
Reply:The stretch marks are there to stay I'm afraid though they will fade with time. I think the loose skin can only be removed surgically, unfortunately.
Reply:It would depend on how much weight you lose. I have lost weight off and on too. As much as 60 pound and I didn't have loose skin. Try using firming lotion. If you lost an extreme amount of weight loose skin will be unavoidable, and the only way to get rid of it would be surgery. The younger you are the more elastic your skin is so you probably won't have a problem if you don't lose an extreme amount of weight.
Reply:I can relate to your story, I too have struggled with my weight throughtout my life and I'm only 20. I've done about every diet, just to find that "perfect imagine" society has put on us girls. I've even resulted in perscription diet pills to get that body.

I have a "pooch" as my friends call it, a flab of skin right above my bladder. I blame this on my weight struggle. It wasn't as noticeable when I was working out.

Your best options are doing crunches, side crunches and so on. If you are anything like me and find that boring, try an exercise class. I joined an "Power Abs Class" at my local rec center, it worked me out good. I had definition in placed I didn't know existed. If this doesn't suit your fancy I would also suggest a belly dancing class or perhaps a DVD. I bought a DVD and not only did it work out my belly, but it worked out my arms and legs too. I have much respect for true belly dancers.

I think the only way to solve extra, loose skin is to really work hard on it with crunches and/or regular exercise.

Good luck with you!
Reply:Extreme weight loss, normally after pregnancy or surgery, leave many with lax skin and abdominal wall muscles. Dieting and exercise will just not tone the skin. While liposuction can help with localized fat, the extra skin must be dealt with in a different fashion. Tummy tuck surgery tightens the skin of the abdominal wall. The lower incision is the place where the extra skin is removed. Greater degrees of redundant skin often need longer incisions.

With that being said, you probably should not consider surgery. As you mentioned, your weight has changed constantly and surgery may do more harm than good at this point. Continued diet and exercise are the first, safest, and best choices. There are some topical lotions that will reduce stretchmarks (not eliminate them) especially if you fear you'll have stretchmarks in the future.
Reply:Your skin WILL tighten to suit the new shape.

Unfortunately, this is a VERY SLOW process.

There is no 'quick fix' for this problem, except surgery.

(it's one reason why a VERY LONG programme of SLOW weight loss is much better than rapid change)
Reply:depends on he amount of weight you have lost. I have lost 10 stone so there is no hope for me i have to have it removed .....

calling all sugar daddy's :)
Reply:surgery i think or weight training to firm up the body.

I have a small flap of loose skin near my anus is there anything i could do to make it shrivel up?
YES its a skin tag, you can look it up on net. They are not harmful or contagious

No need for docs, just get some wart/verucca treatment from pharmacy. It will dry up after about 6 applications, and it doesn't hurt too much.

Dont worry i have had them.

Its difficult to apply your self though!! i got my boyf to do it.
Reply:euuuuuuuuu! sorry couldn't resist.Go to the doctor.A little too much information for me.
Reply:tie a string around it very tightly to cut off the flow of blood.
Reply:Even though it's embarrassing, I would go see a doc about it. They can probably do something for you.
Reply:Tie a red thread around it as tight as you can, and it will fall off in 5 days.

How do you get rid of the loose skin after having a baby?

I'm asking this here because everyone in the fitness section suggests surgery. when i had my son the skin went right back into place. four months ago i gave birth to a daughter and have also been losing weight since her birth and the loose skin is not going back from where it came. so my question is, is how did you tighten back up your tummy after your baby was born? and please no mention of surgery. i'd rather live with the skin!

How do you get rid of the loose skin after having a baby?
i checked out the book banish your belly butt and thighs and followed the excersizes religiously, and sometimes the meal plans. i lost a lot of weight a nd firmed up nicely....then i got pregnant two more times...so back i go again to the book
Reply:i was wondering exactly the same thing
Reply:Sometimes it can be a question of genetics too. I have had two kids and my belly is not so good. When I was pregnant with my son I only put weight on around my middle, so I had a huuuuge belly, he is 9mo and I still have extra skin, drives me nuts, lol. I'm still looking for a way to tighten up the skin, (maybe if I had some stomach muscles too it would help, lol) if you find a way that works and is easy (I'm lazy, maybe that's the problem, lol) I'm there, yay!
Reply:I asked my doctor because I only gained weight around my tummy and a bit in my thighs (they touch now!). My son is 3.5 months and I haven't been able to exercise yet because my hips and back still hurt, but my doctor said to go for walks, then jog, then maybe run when I feel like it. Also to have a healthy diet (ha, I'm a junk food addict!) and to drink water instead of juices and soda. He also said to work out my abs slowly, by doing crunches. Since I have back issues, I was allowed to do crunches on an exercise ball, which eases the pain. It takes time, and I still have 15 lbs left to lose. You might not be back to normal completely but it'll be better than it is now.

Can losing even more weight help lose loose skin?

I'm 5'9 19 years old and weighing 130 lbs I have a bit of loose skin cuz I used to weigh 190 since I was 10-12. So I lost all that weight by diet only. I joined a gym recently and ahve been running 4 miles 5x a week and weight lifting 3x a week. I ask because I think I lost a few more lbs and I'm seeing the loose skin kinda change. Do you think if I lose some more it will go away completely??

Reply:No but since you're young ...exercise should tighten up the skin. It may take a while but it will work. Lift weights etc.
Reply:No you'll get even more loose skin. Try doing pilates, it helps strengthen your muscles and firm up your body.

Don't lose too much weight its not good for you

How can i tighten loose skin after weight loss without surgery?

I've lost 70 pounds over the last year and a half and with bathing suit season coming up (i swore to myself i would wear an actual bathing suit this year! and not a lot of bathing coverups!) i have a lot of loose skin around my middle, upper inner thighs and even my breasts are far from perky. i work out 6 days a week (i know exercise is supposed to help) but i'm not seeing a difference. any ideas? i'm willing to try most anything but surgery is not an option.

How can i tighten loose skin after weight loss without surgery?
Unfortunately surgery is the only viable option.

I lost 140 pounds over a year and half and I struggled with the decision to have my circumferential abdominoplasty for months.

I'm still not happy I had to have it done, but I am very happy with my body now compared to before.

I wished I had better news for you, but basically once you've crossed that 50 ~ 60 pounds overweight threshold and been there for any length of time....there is just no getting rid of the extra skin with exercise.

My body fat is now measured @ 13% and the surgeon told me there was no significant visible fat on my body (what he could see during surgery - advising me not to lose anymore weight) but they still removed 10 inches in the front and 4.5 in the back....
Reply:Surgery or gain alot of muscle to make up for the weight loss :S
Reply:Dont worry! You have options, a couple of which I will give you:

1. Hydroxy acids and strong copper peptides will slowly tighten skin. This is a slow process, taking several months, and the hydroxy acids can produce a mild irritation. Some people, after losing large amounts of weight, have used this procedure to avoided the need for the surgical removal of excess skin. For this purpose, Trireduction P%26amp;R with Retinol is used in the morning and LacSal Cream at night.

2. If this does not work fast enough, you might use a stronger hydroxy acid such as a 15% to 30% lactic acid or 30% glycolic acid.

3. Some people apply the copper peptide creams and hydroxy acids, at about 4 to 6 hour intervals. The Trireduction cream is used twice daily and the hydroxy acid twice daily. Stronger SRCPs such as Super Cop or Super CP Serum will act more quickly but it is best to start with the Trireduction cream.

4. Take a daily supplements of 1 gram vitamin C, and 1 gram of MSM (methylsulfonyl methane). The vitamin C helps crosslinking and the MSM supplies nutritional sulfur for protein synthesis.

5. Combine the above with aerobic exercise to tighten internal muscles.

6. Some women have said that a mild breast lift can also be achieved by this method. For this purpose, the best products are the P%26amp;R Breast cream and a 15% to 30% lactic acid or glycolic acid.

7. A more extensive tightening can be attained by laser resurfacing followed by Super GHK-Copper, or CP Serum and Emu Oil to aid the healing process.

You can buy any of the products listed above at http://www.skinbio.com/quicktighten.html

The following website sells very good creams that help with wrinkles and loose skin: http://www.bestwrinklecream.org/?gclid=C...

Good luck!
Reply:Nothing tones up loose skin once it's there. You need proper nutrition and hydration while losing weight (and to exercise, not just diet) to minimize the sagging skin.
